OKC Bombing Survivor responds well to Cognitive Therapy.

OKC Bombing Survivor is regaining her cognitive thinking skills after severe neurological impairment, which compromised her ability to process information.

In the school’s computer lab, a Cognitive Systems Teletherapy System was installed for 22 special needs students in the elementary grades.  A multiple user interface was programmed into the systems, allowing up to 5 students to be scheduled, using the same computer, due to limited available space.

All 22 students were functioning at least 1 grade below average in reading and below the 3rd grade level.

In 3 months, this school’s post-reading scores indicated that all 22 students had increased their reading level by at least one grade level.

The Bombing Survivor, however, improved dramatically, including changes in behavior both at home and in the classroom.  Her mother reported that the daughter;

                     · Completed her assigned chores without constantly being reminded;

                     · Was excited about going to school;

                     · Was her cheerful self again;

                     · Her teachers also noticed a change in her demeanor as she displayed a higher sense of self-confidence.
