25 year old male TBI survivor is recovering 6 years after a car accident.

While a senior in high school, this patient as an 18 year old was critically injured in a car accident, leaving him unable to move, speak or think clearly.  After many weeks of therapy, he still was unable to walk or use his arms.  Parents took him out of a rehab center and began exercising him in their family pool.  Within 2 weeks, he regained partial use of his limbs; however, his cognitive deficits still remained.

Six years later, in 2001, he started the Cognitive Systems Teletherapy System at his rural home; connect to his therapist 200 miles away.  After 4 months of Teletherapy the patient:

                     · Talk clearly but softly with some halting in his voice pattern.

                     · Discuss his desire to become independent,

                     · Wants to return to his love for doing pencil art,

                     · Likes to assist with the farm chores that he used to detest,

                     · Enjoys visiting his grandparents,

                     · Appears to be less depressed,

                     · Controls his emotions better,

                     · Walks without assistive devices.

Parents are planning a TBI Ranch 501(c)(3) where all therapies can be brought together and centered around the Cognitive Systems Teletherapy System.
